A Word from Our Treatment Director
Chemical Dependency–How South Carolina drug rehab can help
Research has shown that chemical dependence is a chronic condition. The brain quickly adapts to alcohol and other drugs of abuse. It takes time to heal from this abnormal medical condition.
Givebac Ace Camp South Carolina drug rehab program has successfully treated clients who have had up to six treatment episodes with heavy financial investments from family members. This was one of the driving factors behind the development of our drug rehab retreat counseling concept–making ongoing treatment affordable.
Affordable South Carolina Drug Rehab Program
Drug rehab retreat counseling combines an intensive group level of clinical care with therapeutic recovery houses for residents to live away from any unhealthy community distractions. Our South Carolina drug rehab program makes a residential stay much more affordable.
Givebac Ace Camp is not just Recovery houses. Recovery houses in the community are not accredited and licensed to provide clinical drug rehab counseling services. More importantly, unlike community Recovery Houses, residents at Ace Camp do not leave our retreat setting to go out to work or conduct any business in the community. They can focus better on rehab recovery concepts and developing sober living skills.
Ace Camp retreat counseling is comfortable with internet, washer and dryers, satellite TV, fishing pond, three meals a day and all the amenities of home. Residents have visitors but do not go home until drug rehab treatment is completed and recovery objectives are met.
Better Drug Rehab Treatment ~ Built on a Strong Foundation
My name is Jeffrey McLain, I have more than 25 years of experience as a drug rehab counselor and author. In 1984, I published a self-help book called Mood Swing after experiencing a proliferation of drug and alcohol abuse problems in my own community.
I sought to become part of the solution. In 1994, I incorporated my first drug abuse treatment program in Washington, DC, called Givebac Inc. (Grassroots Institute for Violence Education and Behavioral Alternatives in Counseling).
In 1998, I brought the concept of drug rehab retreat counseling to the beautiful, rolling hills of South Carolina. And in 2001 Ace Camp (Alternatives in Counseling and Education) was licensed as an affordable way for people suffering with chemical dependency to find South Carolina drug rehab help quickly without the complications and high cost associated with other facilities. My dedicated treatment and leadership at this drug rehab retreat counseling site led to a three-year accreditation from The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
